The bass I used for this print is supplied by a local fisherman with a licence to fish bass commercially

I've used Speedball Acrylic Ink and when the print was dry it was wet mounted using the Urauchi method to a second sheet of paper to give it strength and make it flat

This piece was framed for exhibition and shown at the Royal Society of Marine Artists’ annual show in 2024—a highlight for me

It's printed in light fast

I've used a blue and gold ink and blended them so there is a slight shimmer on the work

I almost always pick them up

Each item is printed individually

and fits in an A3 frame

the print must be backed using the Urauchi method or wet mounting

The finished work is A5 in size

Her use of Acer leaves in place of the traditional fish not only challenges expectations but also highlights the versatility of the Gyotaku method
