It took me a long time to find a way of making successful prints

Here I have applied two backing sheets to the print and the three sheets are left to dry overnight

Unframed and printed on fine Japanese washi paper

The print is hand-pressed

the traditional technique used in Japan for hundreds of year

To create this design

Once the print has been made it requires wet mounting or as they call it in Japan Urauchi

we apply a glue to the back of the print and then a second sheet of paper is pressed against the back of the print
