Hans Tschelan, Portrait Of A Gentleman With A PipeA characterful portrait of a man with a pipe by Austrian artist, Hans Tschelan (1873 1964). Tschelan trained at the Weimar Academy and later studied in Paris and Florence. In around 1905, he settled in the Batschka region (Serbia Hungary) where he enjoyed painting everyday scenes featuring local people.
