Paul Young Perfectionist Bamboo Rod 7'6" 2/2 #4/5For sale here is a Paul H. Young Perfectionist bamboo fly rod 7 1 2 4 5wt. Serial #4114, made in December 1963 by Bob Summers. The rod is in excellent+ condition. All sections are full length and straight. Mr. Summers has since partially restored the rod and replaced the grip. No repairs have been made to the cane. The rod features the signature PHY mottle flamed look that appeals to so many. The deep golden copper wraps blend very well. Blued
The cork is only mildly soiled and quite smooth
Clean and simple click/pawl operation
The script is clean and bold
I'm not sure whether the bag is original but the tube appears to be
The slim cigar grip is clean and unsoiled
and a brass top aluminum tube with the red Leonard data sticker
Some micro dings on frame and tiny scratches on black rear side plate from use
Ferrules fit well and all sections are straight
Cap is stamped " Ron Kusse
Included is a fine leather rod tube with rod bag
designed for dealing with big tarpon
