Gary Soeffker Bamboo Fly Rod 8' 3/2 #5For sale here is a Gary Soeffker 8ft 3 2 5wt bamboo fly rod. Script reads "8' 208 #5"; additional inscription reads "4 89 . 055". This is a very fine example of Gary's work in the late 80's with stunningly dark shafts, golden nodes and a nicely swelled butt. The rod remains in excellent+ original condition. Smooth, fast action rod that casts a DT5 line with great feel and authority. An unusual feature of this rod is the duronze ferrules made by Gary.

Comes with its original Winston pouch

The first rod is a Rocky Mountain fly rod serial #38179 6'6" 3-piece

Bolt" stamp on the mid and butt ferrule welts and sized appropriately for each

Smooth and crisp with plenty of power while the tips are thin enough for finesse and tippet protection

Originally made as a two tip rod but the second tip was lost

There is some spindle play in this one but not serious enough to require repair in my opinion -- still a great fishing reel

It could however be a replacement
