Hardy Bros. Fibalite Perfection Fiberglass Rod 7'8 5wtFor sale here is a Hardy Bros. Fibalite Perfection fiberglass fly rod. 7'8" for a 5 weight. Made in October 1980. Both rod and bag are completely original and in unused condition. The plastic is still on the grip. Beige silks with red tips. Polished aluminum cap and ring reel seat hardware over cork. Weight is 2. 85 oz.
For sale here is an excellent condition Wheatley fly box -- clip style
post-fire model as most were made size with a 11 (or larger) ferrules in the model 38 and heavier 38H
Included is its original bag and a fine leather tube
Non original black crackle paint tube
The varnish shows light scuffs and scratches throughout though it is without meltdown or bag burn
Oxidized cap and ring reel seat over an all cork seat
made in 1966 by George Reid and Bill Young
The truncated Swiss-style ferrules are size 11/64 with a perfect fit
Transparent olive green wraps with black tipping at the winding check
The wraps and varnish over them remain in excellent condition
Cork fighting butt 2 1/2" in length
Very strong adjustable drag
