Petrus - Pomerol 1947 (Cut Capsule, Low Level)It is a massive, unctuously textured, viscous wine with amazing power, richness, and sweet fruit. The nose explodes from the glass, offering jammy fruit, smoke, and buttery caramel scents. It is so sweet, thick, and rich one suspects a spoon could stand upright. The wine is loaded with dream like quantities of fruit, as well as high alcohol, but there is no noticeable tannin. While drinkable now, given its amazing fruit extract, and high levels of

all wrapped in palate saturating dry extract and simply mind-boggling length

spice and gentle earth scents

but without the nobility

spectacular and about the only nit is a discreet touch of backend warmth

This is easily the freshest wine to this point with its splendidly complex aromas of mostly red currant

culminating in a slightly austere and ever-so-mildly dry finish of solid though not exceptional persistence

Medium to full-bodied

This is so well-balanced that despite how young it is at present

have persuaded me that this wine is one of the most exciting and remarkable young Cabernet Sauvignons I have tasted
