The spools run freely from the crank, and the friction between them can be set to protect the tippet. Near mint condition. Currently set up for LHW, but can be easily switched to RHW. The medium-fast dry-fly action is quite smooth and finds a terrific balance between the power of the swelled butt and the finesse and delicacy of the thin tips
