LARGE ORIGINAL POSTER CLAUDINE IN PARIS BY FAUREA large framed antique French poster of Claudine, the main character of a series of novels by the author Sidonie Gabrielle Colette about a young girl who leaves her small town for a new life in Paris. Here we see Claudine, staring us down with a telling smirk. This rare example dates to c. 1902. The artist is L. Lucien Faure. An illustrator at the turn of the 20th century, he created both posters and other types of illustrations. Backed on linen.
