Sam Carlson Thomas Four Quad Bamboo Rod 7'6" 2/2 #5For sale here is a 76 2 2 Carlson quad. Marked Thomas Four Made for Bob Gregory by Sam Carlson 731 4752 and has the butt and tip taper codes marked within the hook keeper wrap. It was made in 1973 and has ruby wraps with black signature wraps and tipping at HK. Blued square ferrules, screw up locking reel seat with walnut spacer. Each tip marked 731. Original tan bag and rare original black finish tube. This rod is from what is considered Sam's best
The seat is in wonderful condition save a bit of wear around the rim of the butt cap

The two original tips were short when our consignor purchased the rod so he asked Tony to make two new tips
