Marked "Maxwell, 3 83", and "835" on the wrap flat. Midway down the shaft "The Penns Creek" is lettered in Tom's immaculate hand. On the same flat just below the agate stripping guide is the serial #8331B. The cane is an impregnated dark temper and constructed with a three up node pattern.
