Light yellow wraps are almost clear when varnished

Interesting nickel silver ferrule plug is sculpted in both concave and convex scallops with three knurls and a cork plug

A small 1/2 cork (1/4") knob cushions the bottom of the rod with the six sides of the bamboo exposed and coated with varnish or epoxy

you will see that the frame width is extremely thin compared to most reels of this vintage

This rod model was named after the famous Boston Red Sox infielder
