English, c. 1730 The well curved backs with scrolled and dished toprails, over the figured mahogany veneered vase shaped splats, above the padded drop in seats, covered in Bargello type fabric, above the attractively shaped aprons, raised on well curved cabriole front legs, carved with C scrolls to the knees, and ending in pad feet, and splayed and chamfered back supports,

above the four graduated oak lined drawers largely retaining the original handles

Its unusually small proportions suggest that it was designed for a specific purpose

above a splat formed of three pierced uprights

Very few pieces from that period have survived to these days in such remarkably untouched original condition

and finely splayed sabre back supports
