This rod was dubbed the "Firehole" model 8'6" 3 2 for a 6wt line. Dark impregnated cane, beautiful and classic Phillipson wraps henna brown tipped with yellow spiral wraps. Cigar cork grip with Phillipson bronze anodized aluminum reel seat. The nickel silver ferrules are size 12 64 and 18 64 and fit together nicely. Excellent plus original condition.

Near mint condition with some extremely minor marks on the foot from being mounted on a rod

On the lid is an Oregon Trout patch

On the fast side of medium action

The blued Swiss-style ferrules are size 14/64 with a perfect fit

The rod has received an overcoat of varnish at some point and the varnish remains in very good condition with a few soft spots and bag marks

but this was more than likely an oversight since a 216 wouldn't have fit in this bag/tube

This rod features perfect spar varnished shafts wrapped in olive silk and oxidized step ferrules

A majority of the leaded finish remains
