This is an imposing but graceful wine that is presently exceptionally firm and like the Grands Echézeaux

As compared to its immediate siblings in this mini-vertical

Once again there is just enough wood to point out along with hints of menthol

although it is a more forceful

densely packed black fruits and exotic spice flavor layers supported by a very firm backbone of grainy tannins with oodles of freshness and a long

culminating in a slightly austere and ever-so-mildly dry finish of solid though not exceptional persistence

This is not a big wine in the context of a Gevrey grand cru but it's balanced and classically styled

and a dense

I have no other recent notes so I can't say whether this bottle was abnormal or not

this is not especially dense but it is both very complex and well-balanced

A brooding but well-layered nose combines notes of both red and dark currants
