Leonard Mills Ron Kusse ReelA nice raised pillar reproduction of the early Leonard Mills reel, this one offered by Ron Kusse. Near mint condition. 2. 5" in diameter and weighing approximately 6 ounces. It should hold 4 or 5 weight line nicely. Set up for RHW. No real sign of use here though it has had a line put on it (a Cortland 444 peach, from the looks of it). This reel model was made for Ron by Kineya. The faceplates are in great shape. I've always had a soft spot for these light reels which Bob Corsetti produced for a number of years and which are no longer being made

Gold guide wraps

Black spool and sideplate with a silver rim and foot

Used but good original condition

Judging by the wear on the guides

Superb varnish in great condition

Truncated and oxidized swiss ferrules

the smallest in Bob McChristian's Mark series

I don't know anything about the origins of this pattern although it reminds me of the Green Spey
