Hoagy Carmichael 205 Fly Rod 7'6" 3/2 #5An exquisite Hoagy Carmichael fly rod, model 205, a 7'6", 3 piece, 2 tip rod built for a #5 line. Serial # I 76 1, indicating a 1983 build date. This has a medium fast action and has been very lightly used. Blonde cane with a spiral node pattern. Excellent varnish with no scratches or scuffs or hook digs. Original super Z ferrules with the round super Z logo. Dark brown wraps at the ferrules and tip tops, and light brown at the guides with an edge

A very nicely done rod from one of the Leonard captains

The cigar grip is 5 3/4" long and composed of 3/8" corks

It is missing the felt in the brass top and also missing the hang tag from the olive poplin rod bag

My bet is that this rod won't last long
