WelekanWelekan, meaning "sound of the call", presents the music of Mady Keita's band Super Mande Percussion, which takes the listener back to the roots and the meaning of the djembe drum from Mali in West Africa. The djembe drum is considered to be the "orchestra complete" as it brings together the harmonies and ambiance of the full ensemble the dounoun drums, balafon, yabara, vocals and dance.
