Payne Model 201 Bamboo Rod 8' 3/2 #5For sale here is a Payne Model 201 bamboo rod in excellent condition 8 feet, 3 2 for a 5 weight line. All sections are full length and straight. The rod features moderately tempered cane with chestnut wraps and gold tipping. Gold and purple tipping at the winding check and male ferrules. Blued hardware with the exception of the reel seat. Agate stripping guide. Ring hook keeper over a handsome swelled butt. Reverse half wells grip 5 3 8" in length

Cigar grip appears to have been unhandled

Chrome guides wrapped in a very light brown with tiny black edges

this won't be a hindrance to the use of the reel

The seat and spacer remain in excellent condition with only the lightest wear to the rim of the butt cap

Brown main wraps with yellow edges

Still the rod tube and much of the hardware make this an interesting piece indeed
