19th Century Chinese Qing Porcelain BowlA fine quality and large scale Chinese export 'canton famille rose' or 'rose medallion' or 'rose mandarin' porcelain gilt and polychrome decorated bowl, Canton region, circa 1840 1860. Why we like it Great scale, brilliant colours, very decorative and useful object. In the 'Rose Medallion' pattern, the exterior and interior typically enamelled and gilt with panels of court figures within foliate border. Rare impressive scale, fine antique condition
largely retaining the original formerly gilt brass swan-neck handles and locks
it was originally in the Borghese collection
