I was given some of the native oyster shells from a project trying to cultivate native oysters

Here though I have applied the ink one colour a time building it up in layers

Supplied rolled in a poster tube wrapped in acid free tissue

For this I use the Japanese method known as Urauchi or here in the west

The print is approx 69x34

I had a little commission and that is exactly what they wanted

This tuna tail print is on mitsumata measuring approx 80cm x 54cm and is printed in Speedball Acrylic Ink

The tail is just waste and is discarded usually so it's great to use something that would otherwise just go to wast and make art from it
