Sea Bass Apron

Sea Bass ApronTo create this design, I've used one of my Gyotaku prints and worked on it digitally along with some water colour to come up with the design. The Apron also has my Hanko on it, this is a Japanese stamp of my name. It also has the Welsh for Sea Bass Draenog Y Mr; which literally translates as 'Hedgehog of the Sea' The apron has self coloured ties and neck loop, it's made of 100% Panama Cotton and is Natural not bleached. The design is digitally printed

I have used premium quality acrylic ink that is both light fast and pemanent

This print measures 34x24cm and is on Chinese Mulberry paper and has been mounted using the authentic Japanese wet mounting technique which uses a simple flour and water paste and requires a period of around 24 hours to dry and stretch

The print has now been mounted to a gesso board measuring 645x305mm

I've seen this fish referred to by several different names but I like bullseye so that's what I'm sticking with

They easily split open and leak oil over the print so getting the pressure right is important
