The powerful and long-living Wendouree Shiraz is sourced from low-yielding

Named after the Leonard Cohen song of the same name

this has the tannin and acid structure to cellar well over the next five years

certainly stains the palate well

violets and raspberries is offset by creamy vanilla oak

piercing and powering long into an extended finish

and some phenolics give this wine a lovely texture to

age beautifully

The palate is medium bodied and shows sweet Chardonnay fruit that is balanced by textural elements derived from the solids ferment and extended time on yeast lees

Matured in seasoned 300L French barrels
