4" Nerikomi Planter

4" Nerikomi PlanterSpeckled clay is the background for this earth toned planter and drain tray. Layers of colored porcelain clay were stacked together to create the nerikomi pattern. I took thin slices of the cane and inlaid them into speckled clay. The slabs of inlaid clay were hand built into a planter and matching drain tray. This pot stands 4" tall and 4" wide.

A manzanita handle foraged from the Caldor fire burn area has been attached

Ginkgo leaf and mushroom designs have been fired onto the piece

Stands 5" tall with the handle and holds 3-5 bulbs (depending on the size)

This planter comes with a separate drain tray

This sweet pot was created from a chocolate brown stoneware

The inside is glazed a speckled green

Ventilation holes were added and a manzanita handle is attached to the lid
